James Guynes was born on February 12, 1964. The family of Robert Wayne and Dollie Lee Guynes made their home in Marianna, Arkansas at the time of his birth. James was blessed to share in the many memories of childhood as one of seven siblings.
He married Tammy Ann Byrd and they chose to remain and make their home in Marianna. They were blessed with the birth of a daughter, Megan. In time they were given the added joys of a grandchild, Cohen James Howe. James enjoyed times spent with his family and like most men in the delta loved to fish and hunt.
James is known by many in the surrounding area for his work as an officer with the Sherriff's Department and as a valuable asset to Monroe County. In times of worship he attended the Church of God.
At the age of 57 James passed away at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was proceded in death by his parents; and two brothers; Johnny Guynes and Frankie Guynes.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Byrd Guynes; daughter, Megan Guynes; siblings, Robert (Cindy) Guynes, Floyd (Angie) Guynes, Billy Guynes, Samantha (Bob) Forsgren; grandchild, Cohen James Howe. Graveside services will be 11:00A.M. Oak Grove Cemetery located in Moro on Thursday. Guestbook/obit/www.bobnealandsons.com
