James "Buddy" Densmore passed away Friday, April 15, 2022 at Baptist Hospital in North Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 72.
Buddy was born in Phillips County, Arkansas to the late Jimmy and Betty Densmore on March 23, 1950.
Buddy was a farmer all his life. He started working for Mr. James Yancey when he was 14 years old. He changed jobs in 1982 and started working for Thomas Turner. He retired after approximately 40 years of working for the Turners.
He loved all kinds of hunting and fishing, especially with friends and family. He loved spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. He worked on anything and everything, with his last love being for working on lawn mowers.
He leaves here on Earth to cherish his memory his wife of 53 years, Faye Densmore of Marvell; daughter, Karen Willis (Ken) of West Helena; son, Dewayne Densmore of Marvell; eight grandchildren, Trey Tate (Lindsey) of Marvell, Sean Tate of Marvell, Allana Newsom (Dylan) of Marvell, Megan Willis of West Helena, Haley Willis of West Helena, Marc Cavette of DeWitt, Dylan Densmore of Batesville; and Jackson Densmore of Cabot; nine great-grandchildren, Gunnar Newsom, Preston Ford, Kaylee Norton, Mackenzie Hacker, Olivia Hacker, Angel Hawkins, Hunter Hawkins, Dylan Hawkins and Alex Hawkins; two brothers, Billy Joe Densmore (Kitty) of marvell and Tommy Densmore (Linda) of Marvell; and a host of other family and friends.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Betty Densmore; brother, Ricky Densmore; and two sisters, Sandra Densmore and Barbara Morgan (Bill).
Buddy had a heart of gold, with the biggest smile. He would help anyone without giving it a second thought. He will be greatly missed by many.
A funeral service for Buddy Densmore will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home in Marvell. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Cypert Cemetery in Marvell. Brother Mike Crisp will officiate.
Pallbearers are Tracy Tate, Kevin Cook, Michael Little, James Mc Neely, Danny Holt and Matt Norton. Honorary pallbearers are Ernie Smith, Mackie Furr, Billy Buck, Thomas Turner, Robert Stanton and Teddy Ford.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers to please contact them about memorials.
