James "Jimmy" Benford Fridell Sr. , was born August 15, 1942 to Ollie Fridell and Velma Evelyn Lawson in Helena AR. He was raised by his parents Lester "Cotton" Lawson and Velma Evelyn Lawson in Clarendon.

In his school age years he was known as Jimmy Lawson. After Jimmy graduated from Clarendon High School he began a lifelong saw mill career. He retired from management at Anthony Timberlands in Bearden in December 2022. He was a dedicated and hardworking individual who believed in hard work. He continued that in the remodeling of his home in Clarendon. He also enjoyed gardening and his dogs.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his son, James Benford Fridell JR and his daughter, Kelly Ann Fridell.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Mary Crosby Fridell, son Russell (Frances) Fridell Sr., of Bearden, AR, Jennifer Nicole (Jason) Humphrey of Holly Springs AR, and Special Friend, Faye Locke.

Grandchildren: Katelyn (Joe) Roppe, J. B. Fridell III, Russ (Lindsay) Fridell Jr., Caroline Fridell, Vanna (Anthony) Grandy, Aubry Remick, Doug (Grace) Remick, Gage Word, Cohen Word, Summer (Aaron) McMahan.

He was blessed with 16 great-grandchildren.
