Obituary

Jacob Allen Chism began life's journey on June 20, 1990, in Forrest City, Arkansas.  At the time of his birth, Debbie and Terry Chism made their home in Clarendon, where Jacob received formal education. After becoming a 2008 graduate of Clarendon High School, he chose to continue his studies at Phillips County Community College, located in Stuttgart.

Jacob was a young man of many talents. He was a self-taught artist, a member of the high school band where he played the drums and taught himself to play the electric guitar.

He was described as the sweetest soul you could ever know, made the best sweet tea and liked to be in charge when cooking steaks was on the menu.  Jacobs greatest joy was to be surrounded by his family. Brooklyn, his only niece, at just two years old, was defined as the light of Jacobs life.

In times of worship Jacob attended the First Baptist Church in Clarendon, where he learned of the love of God. May his family find comfort during this time and strength in God's promise. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that who so ever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

On Monday, June 21, 2021, Jacob passed away at the age of 31. He was preceded by his step-father, Mauricio Aguilar, grandparents; Linda Morris, Jerry Morris Pine Chism, and Virginia Chism.
