Hubert Doyle Baxter was born August 2, 1935, in Carlisle Arkansas to Sherman and Sena (Ingle) Baxter. In 1963, Doyle married the love of his life, Dorothy (Setzer) Baxter. They built their home in Des Arc in 1964.  Over the years they were blessed with two children, Donald, and Charlotte.

Doyle was a quite man with a heart for helping others. He loved to work at home in the small engine shop or the backyard in the garden. He enjoyed raising birddogs. Doyle was an avid outdoorsman: deer, squirrel and rabbit hunting or taking his fishing boat into the Des Arc Bayou for a good day of crappie fishing. He and his soulmate of 61 years, Dorothy, could be seen every day riding the backroads just enjoying being together.  Checking on their neighbors, always sharing a wave and smile.

On Wednesday morning, April17, at 3:50 a.m., Doyle's earthly life ended. He was preceded in death by his parents, his young daughter, Charlotte and two brothers James and Johnny Baxter.  He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, son Donald Baxter, grandson Shawn (Tabetha) Baxter, great granddaughter Mallory Baxter and sister Ella Mae Montgomery.

He will truly be missed by his loving family and the many friends made throughout his life.
