Sidney Howard Fitts, known to many simply as Howard, passed away on May 22, 2025, in Forrest City, Arkansas at the age of 76. He was born on November 11, 1948, in Brinkley, Arkansas to his loving parents William and Alma Heath Fitts.

Howard was a man of humble beginnings, only receiving education through the third grade. Despite this, he found success and fulfillment as the owner of Howard Fitts Farms. With hard work and dedication, Howard became a respected figure among the local farmers and his community. Not only will he be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his work but for his love and dedication to family.

Beyond his professional achievements, Howard liked the sports of fishing and hunting. He was also a familiar face at the Cotton Club, where he enjoyed engaging in friendly conversations with old friends.

Howard's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and community, but his memory will live on through all the stories and memories shared by those who knew and loved him.

Howard was preceded in death by his beloved wife Delores Corpier Fitts, daughter Angie Sandidge, parents William and Alma, brothers Gene, Bill, Robert, and James Fitts, and his sister Bessie Cox. He is survived by his sons, Mike Thompson (Sherri) of Cherry Valley, and Kevin Thompson (Rachelle) of Fargo, brother Lynn Fitts of Little Rock, son in law Steve Sandidge, eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday May 28, 2025 from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. and services will begin at 2:00 at the Brinkley Convention Center.
