Haydon "Sonny" Harry Lasater was born on October 11, 1936 in Monahans, TX to Charles Edward and Elizabeth Loree (Yarbrough) Lasater. Sonny lived a full life of 84 years and passed away at his home in Hattieville, AR on January 14, 2021.

Sonny was a resident of the Conway County area for over 35 years and was of the Church of Christ faith. In his younger years, Sonny became a member of the Jr. Chamber of Commerce and later served as President of the Board in the mid 1960's. Upon moving to Arkansas in 1987, Sonny, being a master electrician, started a career with Koontz Electric Company as an estimator. Sonny was a driven and dedicated employee to his profession; eventually Sonny was promoted to Vice President of the company along with retiring in 2004. After retirement, Sonny had lots of time for leisure enjoying being outdoors hunting and fishing. Sonny was a very skilled self-taught musician; playing the harmonica and guitar. Most importantly, Sonny was a loving man who was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He will be missed greatly by those who loved him.

Sonny is preceded in death by his parents.

Sonny is survived by his loving wife: Ava Lasater; sons: Jackey Lasater and wife Marilyn of Beach City, TX, Michael "Brandt" Lasater and wife Becky of Hull, Texas; step-son: Caleb Norwood of Volcano, Hawaii; step-daughter: Hannah Norwood  Conway, AR; brother: Ronnie Lasater and wife Monet of Texas; grandchildren: Lisa Lane, Amy Turner, Casey Lasater, Katherine Duff, Michelle Gilfillian, Jaclyn Lasater; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Westlawn Memorial Park in Borger, TX, Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening at Minton Chatwell Funeral Home in Borger.
