Harvey Lee McKnight, Jr., or "Bubba" as his family liked to call him, was born on December 21, 1973 in Marvell, Arkansas.  His proud parents were Harvey and Betty McKnight.

Bubba grew up in Marvell with his sister, Veronica and brother, David.  He attended school in Marvell  and Conway and after graduation, continued his studies at Phillips County Community College, where he was an honor graduate in welding.

He put his degree to good use when he moved to Conway and began working for Interstate Trailers, where he helped in making the trailers.  He also worked as a house framer for Barry Thompson.

When he wasn't working, Bubba attended church at Bramley Baptist Church in Conway.  He also liked to play video games and watch car races.  He especially liked Dale Earnhardt, Jr.  A lover of eagles, Bubba loved to watch for the majestic creatures.

On Thursday, January 11th, Bubba unexpectedly passed away at his home in Marvell at the young age of 50.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Betty O'Neal (William) of Marvell; two children, Lane Dyar (Andi) of Virginia and Ashley Powers (Jacob) of Greenbrier; two grandchildren, Isaac and Nolan Powers of Greenbrier ; a brother, David McKnight of Marvell; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Bubba was preceded in death by his father, Harvey McKnight, Sr.; sister, Veronica J. McKnight; maternal grandparents, Frank and Annie Ruth Shipley; and paternal grandparents, James and Sophie McKnight.

A funeral service for Bubba will be combined with a memorial service for his father, who passed away on December 26.

Visitation with the family will be from 10-11 a.m, Monday, January 22, 20224 at Bob Neal & Sons Brickell Funeral Home, with services beginning at 11 a.m.  Burial will be at Caldwell Cemetery, near Aubrey.
