Harriette Paulette
Griggs
February 15, 1943 — December 27, 2020
Brinkley
"Harriette was a strong woman and devoted wife. She was a picture of a resilient mother, a self-sacrificing grandmother, and a dedicated child of God. While her fight here may be over, she has taught all of those after her how to fight like she did. She was the matriarch of our family, the backbone that held everything together. More than a housewife, she made a home. She married Jerry Don Griggs and was by his side for 61 years. And together they built a family. A home FULL of life, joy, and memories. With her contagious, distinguished laugh she could be found in any crowd and she knew how to turn any situation into a joyous occasion. Catch her on a normal day out on the river fishing, probably out-fishing Papa. And if she wasn't there, she would be in the kitchen cooking because her table was always open. In her rare alone time, you would find her under her lamp, quilting and sewing. With every stitch, it was never for herself, but always for someone else. If we stop for a moment and take a look around it's obvious the impact her life had. She touched more lives than she will ever know. She ran her race with endurance, and finished well. Now we cling to the promise that death is not the end. For as in Adam, all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. (1 Cor 15:22) She is more alive now than ever, walking and talking with her Savior. We will see you again soon, Meme."
