Glenda Jean Smallwood (79) of Palestine died Friday, January 1, 2021. She was born on September 6, 1941 to the family of Henry and Ruth Mealler, in Brinkley. Glenda worked for some time as a factory worker; however she truly enjoyed the many years she spent working with the public. Glenda loved the daily comradery of her customers while working as a hairdresser for 12 years. She also as worked as a server in several different diners and was most recently employed at the E-Z Mart in Clarendon.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Smallwood; daughter, Teresa Smallwood; siblings, Bill Mealler, Johnny Mealler, Richard Mealler, Eugene Mealler, Jimmy Mealler, Lorene Latner and son in law, Mike Simons.

Survivors: sons; Gary Smallwood (Sheryl), Roger Smallwood (Cindy); daughter, Shauna Smallwood Simons; 3 siblings, Jesse Mealler (Sandy), Sandra Robbins, Mary Mealler; 13 Grandkids, 14 Great-Grandkids.

Visitation will begin at 1:00P.M with Services following at 2:00P.M. on Tuesday, January 5th  at Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home in Brinkley. Burial Shady Grove Cemetery Clarendon.
