Glenda Marie Fowler was born on September 7, 1959, in Stuttgart, Arkansas to Edgar and Dorothy Fowler. The family made their home in Rich, Arkansas, where Glenda shared wonderful childhood memories with siblings, Mike and Deana.
Glenda attended Partee Elementary School in Brinkley and Clarendon High School in Clarendon where, in 1977, she graduated with high honors. She later earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Agriculture from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. She pursued a career in Agriculture and enjoyed her roll in working for the Arkansas State Plant Board. Later, with declining health issues, she was obligated to retire.
Glenda was blessed to become the mother of two sons, Wayne Caldwell, Jr. and Clint Caldwell. Her life was joyfully enriched by becoming 'MawMaw' to nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She felt immense love and compassion for each of her children and grandchildren. Time with family was her ultimate treasure.
During her childhood, and all throughout her life, Glenda enjoyed spending time outdoors. She had many interests and hobbies, but her heart was consumed in her love for horses. She participated in local horse shows and was well known for her skills in the arena. Glenda's special interest included speed events. She felt inspired by the opportunity to share her knowledge and skills with others in order to help them discover their full potential. Glenda demonstrated the heart, soul, and spirit of a true cowgirl.
Glenda was a member of Monroe Baptist Church. From a young age, she understood the significance of her faith in Jesus Christ. Her unwavering belief guided her throughout her lifetime and served as a source of strength and comfort. Those who knew Glenda recognized her unique personal traits that made her truly special. Her kindness and compassion for others left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
On February 13, 2025, at the age of 65, Glenda's life came full circle. She leaves a legacy of beauty, endurance, and inspiration which will impact and motivate the empowerment of future generations.
Glenda is proceeded in death by her mother, Dorothy Fowler; brother-in-law, Tim Cupp; grandparents, Perry, Sr. and Viola Gross and Vernie and Dovie Fowler. She is survived by her sons, Wayne (Tammy) Caldwell, Jr. of Dumas and Clint Caldwell of Rich; father, Edgar Fowler of Rich; brother, Mike (Shirley) Fowler of Moro; sister, Deana Cupp of Monroe; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; best friend and longtime companion, Steve Brown of Rich, and host of nieces and nephews.
