Geraldine Everett Smith of Clarendon passed away Saturday July 30, 2022. She was born on August 24, 1935 to Jessie Marshall and Othor Everett in New Hope, Arkansas. Geraldine attended school at Holly Grove, graduating in 1953, and latter attending Phillips County Community College. After college she worked for Stoddard Quirk MFG before moving to Delta Fertilizer Co., and for a number of years she worked with books, first with the Monroe County Bookmobile then with the county library. In her free time she enjoyed working in the yard, riding around out in the country and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son; Terry Chastain of Stuttgart, grandchildren; Braden & Cale Chastain, great grandchildren; Kade Chastain, Dalton & Sadie Olivia Chastain, and sister-in-law Mary Everett.

Geraldine is preceded in death by brothers; Amos Everett (Pauline), Raymond "Bud" Everett (Faith), Elbert Everett (Louise), Eldon Everett, and Arnold Everett (Frances), sister; Gladys Yelvington (Doc) and nephew Ron Everett.
