Obituary

Gary Lane O'Neal began his life's journey July 23, 1963, at Ozark, Arkansas. A son of Billy Joe and Lottie Jane Tilley O'Neal, Gary's youth was spent growing up in the northwest hills of Ozark with his brothers Darrell and Don. He was a 1981 graduate of Ozark High School and enlisted in the U. S. Navy in June of 1982.

Gary is remembered by many things including his love for his family and friends. His seven grandchildren were the apple of his eye and they, in turn, loved their "Pops"/Papaw.

Never meeting a stranger, Gary was the kind of guy who would give the shirt off his back. He was always full of jokes, fun and lots of smiles.  A talented musician who played the keyboard entirely by ear.

Filled with love of the outdoors, Gary spent hours trail riding in his ATV and Harley motorcycles. He experienced many hours of pleasure spending time on the pontoon boat at Heber Springs, fishing, hunting, and grilling out with family and friends. He also like to travel, especially cruising to different parts of the world.

At the age of 58, Gary departed this life on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at his home in Des Arc, Arkansas. He was surrounded by his loved ones who will continue to carry on his legacy.
