Frances Schell, 77, of Marvell, Arkansas, was born May 10, 1946, and passed away May 26, 2023, surrounded by her family. Frances worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years and retired as a postmaster in 2009. She was a hard worker who valued honesty, integrity, and had a work ethic that was sought after and admired. Frances loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. She was an excellent nature photographer.  She worked for the Phillips County Republican Committee and various Republican committees throughout Arkansas. Frances loved to have fun, never met a stranger, and was always the joy and life of anywhere she went.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Etheline (Mason) Mummel, and her sister Joyce Haws. She is survived by Hal Fincher, the love of her life; her children Todd Schell (Patti) of Nesbit, MS and Terri Jo Banks of Coila, MS; six grandchildren, Madison Sigler (Brad); Alex McKinney (Kyle); Cody Oxner (Meri-Austin); McKenzie Banks; Emma Grace Reed (Coats); and Rylee Jo Banks; four great-grandchildren; her sisters, Marilyn Landon (Brent), Melba McIntosh, Carolyn Ralph, Gail Allbritton,  and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

A funeral service for Frances Schell will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2023 , at Bob Neal and Sons in Marvell, Arkansas. Visitation will be held one hour prior at 10:00. Pallbearers will be Brad Sigler, Kyle McKinney, Coats Reed, Tony Bank, David Bartlett, Trey
Fincher and Martin Rawls.
