Evelyn "Ruth" Armstrong, age 82 of Quitman, formerly of Des Arc, passed away Friday, November 18, 2022 at her daughters home in Quitman. A daughter of the late Herbert Armstrong & the late Gladys Armstrong, Ruth grew up and received her education at Des Arc.  She was a former employee of ITT Higby Industries at Searcy and a member of the Sulphur Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Ruth is survived by her four daughters; Angela Howell of Mabelvale, Lisa Osborn of Judsonia, Sylvia (Jerry) Evans of Quitman and Georgia (Brad) Choate of Rogers; three sisters, Helen Reames, Jewel Briggs and Sylvia Ann Armstrong; 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild that is due in March of 2023; and a host of extended family, church family and friends. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22 at Lakeside Cemetery
