Estelle Catlett, 87 died Wednesday in Stuttgart. A daughter of Milton McKoy and Jewel Talley McKoy Moore, she was born in Holly Grove, Arkansas. She became a 1952 graduate of Holly Grove High School and later that year married George "Tom" Catlett.

Through the years, Estelle worked at Tom Wright Chevrolet 1953-1958 and then at Graves Chevrolet 1958-1961. From there she joined the staff of Merchants & Planters Bank, where her wonderful personality and gentle spirit served others in the community for the next 47 years. She began as a clerk and retired in 2008 as the Senior Vice President.

Estelle was a faithful member of the Clarendon Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as secretary, Sunday School teacher and greatly enjoyed working with the children in Vacation Bible School. Although she had no children of her own, she considered the whole church family her own and loved the fellowship they had together.  In quiet times she enjoyed crocheting, especially baby afghans.

She was preceded in death by her: parents, step-father, Herbert Moore, husband, Tom Catlett, step-brothers, Rudy and Leon Moore and nephew, Gary Self.

Immediate family remaining includes: sister, Lea Self and husband, Norm; step-brother, Walter Moore and wife, Marilyn; nephew, Dirk Self and wife, Dona; niece Susan Darling and husband, Darryl; God daughter, Gay McCoy and husband, Charles; God granddaughter, Christin Singleton and husband, Jeff; and God great-grandchildren, Riley and Parker Singleton

A private service was held in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Clarendon.
