Edward Doyle Knapp was born on February 6, 1973. He was the second child of Jerry and Linda Knapp and became known simply as Eddie. The family made their home in Lambrook, Arkansas and Eddie received education in the nearby community of Elaine. He was blessed to share childhood memories with two sisters, Jeannie, and Christy and one brother Josh.

Eddie worked outside the home as a construction worker and took great pride in his role as a son, father, and grandfather. His love of family exceeded all and without a doubt, his greatest joys in life came from spending time with them, especially the grandkids. He also had a soft spot in his heart for pitbulls and bullies.

On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at the young age of 51, Eddie passed away at his home in Hunter. He was preceded in death by one sister, Jeannie.

He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Linda Knapp, six sons, Morgan Knapp, Tyler Knapp, Ryan Dunlap, Mason Knapp, Hayden Knapp, and Eddie Knapp, one daughter, Taylor Jackson (Hunter), and a sister Christy Rodden (Travis), brother, Joshua Knapp (Joni) and ten grandchildren.

There will be a graveside visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M.  and service at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Park in Barton.
