Earl C.
Whitson
June 2, 1946 — October 22, 2023
Marvell
Earl Claborn Whitson born June 2, 1946, was escorted by an Angel to a place of rest on Oct. 22, 2023, where he will remain until as Paul tells us in 1 Thessalonians 4:16, "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first". Then Paul goes on to provide comfort for the rest of us in V 17, "Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord".
Earl Whitson was a devoted husband of 57 years to his beautiful wife Agnes, who tenderly cared for his every need all 57 years. He was an uncle and father to Regina Earlene Flud who was named after him and loved him deeply. In his final car ride with Regina, he expressed his knowledge of the Savior of his cleansing power and of looking to Higher and Holier places as he grew weary. We prayed together in that car ride asking the Lord for removal of anything that would keep us from the Holy presence of Our Lord. He desired that and I know that he was spotless upon his death.
He leaves behind his wife Agnes Whitson of Marvell, Regina Flud niece and daughter of North Little Rock, Christy Selfors, niece of Searcy, Pearlie Williams(Jerry) sister-in-law of Sheridan, Thomas Davidson brother -in -law of Florida, Johnny Johnson brother -in -law of North Little Rock, Bill Johnson brother -in -law of Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his precious parents Euel and Jimmy Whitson, brother Steve Whitson and nephew Stevie Whitson.
As we mourn the loss of our loved one may you reflect as he did on your Eternal Home and know that through the shed blood of Jesus Christ we will be called Saints and be called up to met him in the air. We are grateful that Earl made that decision long ago, so we look forward to coming together again one day.
Romans 14:8
"If we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to God".
