Obituary

Dorothy Louise Cutlip was born on January 12, 1933. As one of five children of Hosea and Pearl Moses, she began life's journey in Tuckaseegee, North Carolina.

Dorothy became the wife of Ray Cutlip, and they made their home in Marvell. Through the years they shared in the many memories of raising six children.  As a mother and homemaker, Dorothy took great pride in caring for her family and home.

For a time, she worked as a production worker at Sanyo. However, she was well known in the community as the owner of the Yellow Store, located in downtown Marvell. For several years she enjoyed the camaraderie of the local patrons who stopped by to shop or donate items.

During childhood Dorothy attended times of worship at Tuckaseegee Baptist Church. Throughout her adult life, her faith and trust in Christ continued.  She loved sharing with her children their inheritance in Christ and for the last thirty years has enjoyed fellowship as a member of Marvell First Baptist Church.

On August 4, 2021, at the age of 88, Dorothy began a new journey in the eternal ages with her Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was preceded by her parents, husband, Ray Lee Cutlip; daughter, Diane Cutlip; a grandchild, Brian David Cutlip; a brother, Conrad Moses; and a sister, Mary Rice.
