Dorothea May Blankenship, 84, of Griffithville passed away on Friday, March 18 ^th , 2022.  She was born in Little Rock, AR to Thomas Ellington and Dorothea (McVey) Ellington. In 1957, she married Billie Joe Blankenship.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Dorothea was an active participant and member of the First Baptist Church in Des Arc.

She is survived by a son, Ken Blankenship and wife Dona, daughter, Nancy Hambrick and husband Danny, three granddaughters: Jennie Hicks (Brad), Jayma Whatley (Joseph) and Haley Calhoun (Tanner) and a host of great grandkids.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Graveside services will be Thursday, March 24 ^th at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander
