Doris Marie Sullins, of Clarendon, Arkansas, was called to her eternal home on June 11, 2026, at the age of 78. She was born on September 2, 1947, in Clarendon, Arkansas, to her loving parents, Atha William and Dorothy Maxine Mathews.
Doris attended Clarendon's public schools and later united in marriage to, Herbert C. Sullins Sr. Their union was blessed with two children, and Doris took immense pride in her role as a homemaker and mother. Through the years she was overjoyed to become a grandmother.
Doris was also a woman of faith. For many years she attended the First Assembly of God Church in Clarendon where she enjoyed fellowship and cherished the sense of community, guidance and comfort it provided.
In her spare time, Doris enjoyed the simple things in life such as spending time outdoors. She had a particular fondness for flowers and was also an accomplished quilter, a hobby that allowed her to express her creativity.
Doris will be remembered for her love of family, and her kind and caring spirit. Her loss will be deeply felt, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Herbert C. Sullins Sr., son, Herbie Sullins, daughter, Tammy Jane White, and a brother, Danny Mathews.
She is survived by her brother Bobby Mathews, of Little Rock, her sister, Carolyn Stinnett of Lonoke and six grandchildren.
