Donna Jo Madden, aged 82, of Des Arc, AR, was called home on December 8, 2025. Born on August 17, 1943, to her parents, Burl Clayton and Wilma Inez (Kirkland) Peters in Lonoke, Arkansas.
Donna graduated from Des Arc High School and committed herself to public service, working at the Prairie County Courthouse as a secretary, Deputy Assessor and in the Tax Collectors office. Her dedication to community was further exhibited through her active involvement in the Prairie County Sheriff's Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Donna was a woman of diverse talents. Her passion for writing, crocheting, and drawing brought joy to many. Her poetry will be remembered as a testament to her creative spirit. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church, where she nurtured her faith and served her community.
On January 11, 1964, she married Dale Madden in Des Arc, where they made their home and raised their four children. The couple shared 50 years together before Dale's passing in 2014. Donna's life was characterized by her unwavering love for her family, her dedication to her community, and her tenacious spirit.
Her memory will be cherished by her children Joe Madden, Johnnie Madden, and Jackie (Madden) Bell and brother Gene Peters. Her legacy will continue to thrive through her grandchildren Laura (Jake) Holmes, Jessica (Mitchell) Weaver, Jacie (Casey) Nickleson, Jalen (Shelby) Lammers, and Jade (Kyle) Bell Luck, Eli Erby and great-grandchildren Jeb, Nate, Naomi, Elizabeth, Azlee, Archer, Addie, Case, Canon, Camden, Cienna, Clarke, Cable, Paisley, Tracey, Tristan, and Zella.
She rejoins her parents, her sister Barbara Ann Causey, her beloved husband Dale Madden, son Mitchell Madden, and four grandchildren (Corey and Casey Bell, and two baby Maddens) in peaceful rest.
Donna will be remembered as a pillar of strength, a beacon of love, and a wellspring of creativity. Her presence will be dearly missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to have known her.
