Ann Thompson was born on in Helena, Arkansas on November 21, 1947 and the first born of Marvin Edward and Oma Ruth Keller. She was raised in Clarendon, where she attended the public schools and graduated in 1965.

In her elementary school days Ann became friends with a young man named Leroy Thompson. Little did they know that 20 years later, this friendship would turn into a lifetime commitment. On April 7, 1967 Ann and Leroy were united in marriage. They would leave Clarendon for a short time, then return and remain residents throughout the years. They shared in the memories of raising two children and the joys of welcoming grandchildren to the family. Ann worked outside the home and was well known by many, through her role as a waitress at Gene's BBQ in Brinkley.

Ann had several hobbies and interest that included a passion for fishing, tending to her garden and rose bushes. She often enjoyed shopping, and leisurely drives or just watching TV during her downtime.

On July 23, 2024, at the age of 76, Ann passed away at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Stuttgart. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 51 years, Leroy Thompson, and one grandson, Caleb Howard.

She is survived by, her two children; Thomas E. Thompson of Clarendon, and Teresa Hartzog (Timothy) of Vilonia, siblings; Terry Alexander (Nesbeth), Larry Keller and Linda Pickman, along with two grandchildren; Joseph Thompson and Andrew Bailey.

The family invites friends to pay their respects at the visitation on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home in Clarendon.
