Obituary

Delores Jane Davis Bartlett Jackson Manning Gamble Jackson, began life's journey in Charleston, Missouri on January 4, 1951. As the first born to the family of Robert "Bob" and Dorotha Davis Sr. At some point in time the family moved to Marvell where Delores received formal education becoming a graduate of 1969. She went on to continue her studies at Phillips County Community College.

Delores was blessed to become a wife, mother and grandmother. Her life as a homemaker, was filled with the joys of seeing her family grow with the addition of spouses and 6 grandchildren. Outside the home, Delores worked for a time at Bobbie Brooks as well as spent countless hours involved in her community. Some of these included the Tri County Fair Board, the Marvell Ballfield, Barton Schools and the Boy/Girl Scouts. She was at one time was honored to be named volunteer of the year.

Raised in the Christian faith, Delores attended the Trenton Baptist Church during her youth. She later attended times of worship at the Calvary Missionary Baptist in Marvell. She loved gaining knowledge of all religions, had a strong belief in God and a desire to study the word that God created.

Delores also had a great love for the outdoors. Spending time with family, camping, fishing, hunting or just taking in all nature had to offer, were some of her favorites things to do.

On the evening of March 4, 2021, Delores surrounded by those she loved, passed away at her home in Marvell. May hope sustain you, Friends surround you, and love give you strength through this time of grief and your treasured memories bring you comfort and peace. Delores was preceded in her journey by her father, Robert Lee Davis Sr.; husbands, Chester Gambell, Phillip "Sonny" Manning, Gary Jackson and Cloice "Butch" Jackson.

Delores is survived by her mother; Dorotha Rowland Davis DeJarnatte of Poplar Grove, son; Brian Kiel Bartlett (Lisa) of Redfield, AR, step children; Chuck Jackson, Valerie Jackson, and Pagan Jackson, eight grandchildren; Angela Raney Whitson, Brandi Leigh Bartlett, Haylie Michelle Bartlett, Harmonee Brooke Griffin, Tanner Shea Griffin, Makayla Lovell, Deanna Huckaby, & Criag Cullibreath, two great grandchildren, brother; Robert Lee Davis Jr. of Hazen, AR and a sister; Patricia Ann Davis Monroe of Marvell.

Honorary Pallbearers: Clifton Gamble, Eddie Bartlett, Neal Byrd, Jimmy George, Shelton Guest, & Dr. Pat Bell

Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 p.m. Sunday March 7 at Bob Neal & Sons-Brickell Funeral Home in Marvell.

Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday March 7 at Cypert Cemetery with Mark Spencer officiating.
