Delois Davis of Brinkley passed away on October 2, 2021 at the age of 89. She was born on August 11, 1932, one of thirteen children to Elmer and Nora Ollis. Delois attended high school in Brinkley graduating with the class of 1951.

On June 1, 1951 she married Oneado Davis. They became life long residents of the Pleasant Valley/Swamp Poodle Community and were blessed to share in the memories of raising three children. She was a faithful member of the Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church beginning with her baptism in 1951.

Along with being a wife and homemaker she worked outside the home. For many years Delois worked at the Phillips Van Huesen shirt factory, where she became one of the first female supervisors. Most recently she served as a host at the Central Delta Museum where she enjoyed meeting the people and promoting the history of Brinkley. In the community she enjoyed fellowship with the American Legion Auxillary, Scrap Happy Quilting Club, and the Widows Well ladies group. Some of her hobbies included working in the garden, growing beautiful flowers, ceramics and cooking and entertaining family and friends.

Delois is preceded in death by her parents,  husband; Oneado Davis, and son; James Davis.

She is survived by children Joel and Terry Davis of Wynne, Karan and Lloyd Ramsey of Brinkley, 3  siblings, Wayne and Carolyn Ollis of Searcy, Elmer J. Ollis, of Ontario California, and Virginia Byrd, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, along with 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
