Debra Lynn "Midge" Derrick of Forrest City passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the age of 63. She was born on Sept 18, 1957 to Orville and Eunice Simpson. At the time of her birth the family made their home in Roswell, New Mexico. Her family made the move to Arkansas where Midge became a 1975 graduate of Holly Grove High School.  She chose to continue her education at ASU in Jonesboro. Upon completing four years of study she obtained her degree in Accounting. Midge would soon secure a position working for a local CPA in the Brinkley community, before opening her own business in Forrest City,  Debra Derrick CPA.

Midge was blessed in life to become a wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother. She and Larry Derrick shared in the many memories of raising four children and the joys of welcoming seven grandchildren into the family.

Midge enjoyed spending times with the grandchildren, watching basketball and was a big fan of the Razorbacks.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Eunice Simpson and one grandson, Colton Pipkin.

She is survived by husband; Larry Derrick of Forrest City; son, Nathan Derrick (Sawyer) of Colt, daughters, Kristin Drake, Tiffany Derrick, and Nikki Derrick, all of Forrest City; father, Orville Simpson of Hot Springs; brother, Mike Simpson (JoAnn) of Rose Bud; grandchildren, Hannah Derrick, Trey Derrick, William Drake, Alec New, Derrick Drake, Bentley Pipkin, Paisley Pipkin, and grand dog, Dozer Derrick.
