Deborah Ann Gerlach

Deborah Ann Gerlach known as "Debbie", passed away on August 18, 2026 at Crestpark Nursing Home in Dewitt, Arkansas.

She was born in Houston, Texas on July 24, 1960. Debbie was the second born to the family of Thomas and Betty Hill. The family relocated to Arkansas where she attended Clarendon High School. During her working career Debbie worked for the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier. 

Debbie found joy in simple and lasting pleasures. She loved flowers and gardening, and she also enjoyed canning, fishing, and duck hunting. These interests were an important part of her life and brought her both purpose and happiness. She was a member of Holly Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Debbie lived a life marked by devotion to the things she loved and close ties to her family and community.

She is survived by Gary Gerlach; her son, Kevin Gerlach; and her sister, Vickie Beck. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sherry Hydrick; her father, Thomas Hill; and her mother, Betty Hayes Hill.

The family extends special thanks to Crestpark Nursing Home of Dewitt and all of the staff for the good care given to Debbie during the past nine months.

Debbie will be remembered with respect and affection by those who knew her. A Graveside Service will be held on August 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Macedonia Cemetery.
