Connie Holmes Montgomery of Clarendon passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021, at the age of 66. Born in Brinkley, on January 24, 1955, she was one of nine children to Paul and Mary Virginia Holmes. Connie received education through Clarendon schools and chose to continue her studies for one year in Texas, in the field of business.

On February 14, 1980, Connie married Fredrick Randy Montgomery in Little Rock. She was blessed in life to become the mother of one daughter Lori, and in time given the added joy of two grandchildren, Brittney and Hunter.

Connie was raised knowing the importance of a relationship with her Savior, Jesus Christ. From an early age she attended the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church along with her mother. After the passing of her mother, Connie continued in her journey of faith and has remained a member of the church for many years.

She enjoyed spending time with her family,  watching butterflies and working in the yard taking care of her flowers. Connie seemed like the quiet type most of the time, but she had a spunky side that loved to crack jokes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mary (Hodges) Holmes; brothers, Paul Holmes, James Miller and sisters Betty Gomez, and Mary Miller.

Connie is survived, by daughter, Lori Howell, two grandchildren, Brittney and Hunter; brothers, Charles Holmes, Bobby Holmes, Donald Holmes, and sister, Sherrion Smith (Dennis).

Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Clarendon.
