Connie Estelle May was born on October 4, 1946. The family home was located in Moro, Arkansas when Alvie and Edna Herndon welcomed the birth of their second born. Connie received formal education through the local schools and enjoyed sharing childhood memories with three siblings.

Connie was blessed throughout her life. On August 1, 1998 she became the wife of Robert May and they made their home in Forrest City. Connie worked in several different places that included Phillip Van Heusen where she operated a sewing machine, and as a waitress at the Golden Star Restaurant. However her most loved job was working as the Manager of Sonic in Okolona, Mississippi. Connie eventually stepped away from punching the clock and was currently retired.

Connie always enjoyed visiting friends and spending time with her family and especially the grand kids.  She was also a lady of faith and during childhood attended the Moro Full Gospel Church along with her family. She loved reading her bible and sharing scripture with her church family and has been a member of Faith Fellowship in Forrest City for ten years.

On January 13, 2024 Connie's earthly journey ended at the age of 77.  Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Alvie and Edna Herndon; husband, Robert May; brother, Clarence Herndon and sister, Joyce Robinson.

She is survived by her son, Larry (Rachel) May of Dumas, Mississippi; daughters, Monte May of Linden, TN and Christy (Paxton) Crawford of Prairie Grove, AR; brother, Buddy (Diann) Herndon of West Memphis, AR; six grandchildren, Nicole McDonald of Alpine, MS, Mariah Hancock of Clinton, TN, Drake Higgins of TN, Jayden Howell of Linden, TN, Hayden Howell of Linden, TN and Bryson Dicus of Praire Grove, AR; and three great grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday January 24, 2024 at 1:00P.M. at Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home in Brinkley.
