Obituary

Clinton R. Childers of Brinkley, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the age of 74. He was  born to Graham and Doris (Brownlee) Childers in 1948.  After the death of Doris, Graham married Patricia Womack Childers.  They had two daughters and together raised their five children. The family home was located in Des Arc, where Clinton attended public schools.

On March 29, 1968 Clinton reported to Little Rock for his induction into the Army. While stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas he received training and certification in Military Justice, and Code of Conduct.  While serving in Vietnam he was awarded two Purple Hearts and two Bronze Star for heroism in ground combat.

When returning home he farmed rice and soybeans at Garner, until retirement.

Clinton was preceded in death by his parents, Graham and Doris Childers and daughter, Jeana Childers Neukam.

He is survived by his step-mother Patricia Womack Childers McMillen, daughter, Christy Wilkison and Keith of Brinkley, brother, Bob Childers and Martha Ann of Des Arc, sisters; Carole Rogers and Jimmy of Hazen, Sandra Patterson and Randy Brickey of Des Arc, and Deborah Noggle of Vilonia, Arkansas,  three grandchildren, Taylor Wilkison of Nashville, Tennessee, Keely Wilkison of Brinkley, Arkansas, and Cassie Neukam of Dewitt, Arkansas.
