Clara Mae was born on July 24,1944 in Moro, Arkansas, to James and Marie Davis. She was the second born of six children and received education in the nearby community of Aubrey.
Clara was blessed in life to become a wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother. After a time of courtship, she married Robert Leon Parker on March 5, 1970. They chose to make their home and raise a family in Clarendon. Clara worked alongside Robert at the Philips Van Huesen Shirt Factory where she remained until the closing of the Brinkley office. She went on to secure a position at Farris Fashions and as a dedicated and valued employee remained up until its closing before choosing to retire.
Skilled with a needle and thread Clara made many quilts to be treasured by family and friends. She enjoyed crafting and could make something beautiful out of whatever she found laying around. She loved cooking and being with family. In quieter times Clara liked watching the Hallmark Channel.
Clara, as a lady of faith knew the importance of a relationship with her Savior Jesus Christ. She attended times of worship at the Clarendon Church of Christ and always enjoyed times of fellowship with her church family. On February 1, 2023, Clara's earthly journey ended at the age of 78, in Little Rock at the Baptist Medical Center. She was preceded in her death by her parents James and Marie (Wirzfeld) Davis, husband Robert Parker and grandson, Christopher Caleb Gosha.
She is survived by her sons, Bryan Parker(Natalie), Ryan Hampton (Nikki), daughters Tonya Tackwell, Susan Lammers (Dewayne), grandchildren, Jackson Parker, Memphis Cache Tackwell, Kylie Singleton, brothers James C. Davis (Barbara), Larry Davis (Patty), Rodger D. Davis, Sam Davis (Shirley), and sister Lynda Hamner ( Dennis)
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at the Clarendon Church of Christ at 1:00 PM, Memorial Service will follow at 2:00PM.
