Charlotte Louise Hoggatt, (92) longtime resident of Brinkley, passed away on September 12, 2022. She was born on June 10, 1930, to Huber and Anne Louise Stapleton, in Rosedale, Mississippi. After becoming a 1948 graduate of Cleveland High School, Charlotte chose to continue her studies at Mississippi State College for Women and Delta State University for a total of 3 1/2 years.

On February 3, 1951 she became the bride of Eugene Lowry Hoggatt. They chose to make their home in Cleveland. In 1970 they became part of the Brinkley community. Through the years the family shared in the joys of raising four children in the home and in time welcoming the birth of ten grandchildren and an amazing 25 great grandchildren.

Charlotte was a Christian and knew the importance of a relationship with her Saviour, Jesus Christ. She attended times of worship at the First Baptist Church in Brinkley. Active for many years she enjoyed teaching Sunday school and participating as a member of the Choir. In leisure time Charlotte enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading and exercise.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Huber and Ann Stapleton, her husband of 49 years, Gene Hoggatt, sister, Kate Terry Mancill.

She is survived by one sister, Lois Ann Krutz of Cleveland and brother in law, Bob Mancill of Greenwell Springs, LA,  her sons, Bro. Bubba Hoggatt and wife Linda, of Marion, LA, Jim Hoggatt and wife Gail, of Brinkley, daughters, Lou McWhorter and husband Randy, Lois Hitt all of Ruston, LA.,  ten grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church of Brinkley or Arkansas Baptist Children's Home.
