Charles William Hurd was born in Oregon on January 23, 1942, a son to Herman and Helena (Kays) Hurd.  Charles passed away on July 6, 2021 at the age of 79 in Conway, Arkansas.

Charles or "Chuck" as he was known as was a 50 plus year resident of Morrilton, Arkansas. He was a devoted employee of Waffle House in Morrilton for 23 years. He enjoyed visiting with his customers and was a people person. Chuck never met a stranger. He was a great father and the best "Poppa Chuck" a grandchild could ask for. He will be missed greatly by those who loved him.

Chuck is preceded in death by his parents; along with numerous brothers and sisters.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 54 years; Mary Charlene (Vickrey) Hurd of Plumerville, Arkansas; daughters: Barbara Grace and husband Dan of Casa, Arkansas, Kathy Ivy of Morrilton, Arkansas; 5 grandchildren: Brittany Grace, Charles Grace, Charles Ivy, Colton Ivy, and Bailey Ivy; with a host of other family members and friends.

Memorial Service for Chuck Hurd will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bob Neal and Sons Chapel in Morrilton, Arkansas.
