Charles Leonard Long, born on May 16, 1962, in Brinkley, Arkansas, passed away on August 7, 2023. Charles was a beloved brother and friend, known for his passion for the outdoors, his deep respect for nature, and his unwavering hard work.
Charles spent the majority of his life in his birthplace, Brinkley, Arkansas, where he was a dedicated farmhand in the agriculture industry before retirement. His love for the land extended to his hobbies as well, hunting deer, squirrels, and rabbits and fishing in the serene lakes and rivers of Arkansas. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "In the woods, we return to reason and faith."
Charles was the son of the late C.L. and Mary Long, and the brother of the late Bobbie Yarbrough. He is survived by his brother, William, and sister-in-law, Adela Long.
His legacy is defined not only by his dedication to his work and his love for nature but also by the relationships he cultivated throughout his life. The depth of his character and his spirit of resilience will always be remembered.
