Cecil Lynn Montgomery was born in Plumerville, AR on January 29, 1945, a son to Ed and Hazel (Parks) Montgomery. Cecil passed away at his home in Morrilton, AR on December 27, 2021 at the age of 76.

Cecil came from a long line of veterans and served his country for twenty two years in the United States Army. He served two tours in Vietnam and earned two Purple Hearts during his time of service. Traveling thorough the world was one of the things he enjoyed most about being in the military and continued after his retirement.

Cecil was of the Baptist faith and a lifelong resident of Conway County. He was familiar with many people in the community and never met a stranger. Cecil was very good with his hands and enjoyed working on vehicles. He could fix almost any mechanical problem presented to him. When he wasn't working in his shop, he was spending time with his family. They were his entire world and the time spent with him will be treasured greatly.

Cecil is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and one sister.

Cecil is survived by his loving wife: Linda Montgomery of Morrilton, AR; son: Wayne Montgomery and wife Stephanie of Morrilton, AR; daughters: Patty Acheson and husband Eric of Morrilton, AR, Pam Allen and husband Tim of Cookeville, TN; brother: Curtis Montgomery and wife Pat of Houston, AR; six grandchildren: Krystal Pearson, Samantha Newman, Austin Allen, Caleb Allen, Brittany Schay, Cassandra Shaw; one great-grandchild: Mia Crook; and best friend: Cliff Harris of Morrilton, AR.

Visitation will be held for Mr. Montgomery on Tuesday, January 04, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bob Neal and Sons Chapel. Funeral Service will be at the same location on Wednesday, January 05, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Robertstown Cemetery in Jerusalem, AR.
