Carolyn
Burcham
May 30, 1942 — November 20, 2024
Carolyn Ann Burcham was born on May 30, 1942 to Walter and Norma Kilgore. The family made their home in Ida Belle, Oklahoma where Carolyn attended school and shared childhood memories with three siblings.
At some point in time, life's journey brought Carolyn to Clarendon, Arkansas where she remained for several years. She became the mother of three children and was blessed to see her family grow with many grandchildren.
Carolyn was well known as an adventurous, high-spirited, and giving person. If you had the pleasure of spending time with her, you knew she always spoke her mind and there would never be a lack of conversation. She always enjoyed playing card games especially Rummy and loved watching Gunsmoke.
Carolyn spent most of her working career putting her kitchen skills to use as a cook on a riverboat. She was active in her community helping at the local food bank when she could. She also took great pride in taking part to help to feed the children through the Children's Church. Carolyn attended the First Assembly of God Church in Clarendon before eventually moving to Wynne to be close to her daughter.
On November 20, 2024, Carolyn passed away at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Jimmy Dewayne Chism, and sisters, Evelyn Bonner, and Helen Cato.
She is survived by her children, Floyd A Clark of Ozark, Arkansas, Lisa Morgan (Jeffery) of Wynne, Arkansas and sister, Norma Jean Money (Kenny) of Batesville, Arkansas, and a host of grandchildren.
