Carlos Crisp, born Carlos Lightfoot Crisp on the 12th of September, 1948, in the town of Connell's Point, Arkansas, passed away on the 31st of July, 2023.

Carlos enjoyed the rich tapestry of life, with a passion for traveling and a magnetic personality that ensured he never met a stranger. Carlos, a man of character and conviction, exemplified his commitment to serving his community when he worked for Governor Jim Guy Tucker during his campaign. As Albert Einstein said, "The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination." Carlos embodied this quote, leveraging his intelligence to imagine and advocate for a fairer world.

Carlos spent his retirement years in Marvell, Arkansas, a place he dearly loved and called home. Never married, Carlos' life was nonetheless rich with familial love and deep friendships. He leaves behind his cousins, Mildred (Robin) Clatworthy, Donna Williamson, and Warren Crisp. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joshua and Mary Crisp.
