Bulah Shannon of Brinkley passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at the age of 89. She was born in Hackelburg, Alabama on July 26, 1932, to the family of Herbert and Addie Hamilton Sr. Bulah was the lastborn of three children and received early education through the local public schools.

She was blessed in life to become a wife, homemaker, and mother to four daughters. In time she was given the added joys of watching her family grow with the addition of seven grandchildren, an amazing 20 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.

Bulah was active in the community helping with voter registration. She also enjoyed working to help with the softball team, she and Lonnie sponsored through C&S Clutch.  When time allowed Bulah enjoyed putting her life time fishing license to good use, mowing her lawn (with a push mower) and during quieter times settling in to watch old westerns.

In a working career she was employed with the Memphis Casket making the rosettes that were sewn inside. She later secured a position working with Keithley Bakery where she remained until she stepped away from punching the clock to enjoy time with family and friends.

Bulah is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lonnie Shannon, grandchild, Shawn Barnett and great grandchild, Tara Reynolds, brothers Travis Hamilton and Herbert Hamilton Jr.

She is survived by daughters, Ruby McClellan of Brinkley, Dianne Helling (Daren) of Southhaven, Mississippi, Lisa Saffell (Joe) of Brinkley, Lori Shannon of Cordova, Tennessee, grandchildren, Roddy Reynolds, Cameron Reynolds, Rhonda Reynolds, Rebecca Leathers, Tyler Sorrells, Ashley Caskey, great grandchildren, Chassidy Culbreath, Brittany Reynolds, Emily Dixon, Corey Reynolds, Matthew Reynolds, Kaitlyn Mason, Rachel Davidson, Rikki Barnett, Jack Leathers, Caitlin Rushing, Jamie Hoskins, Bayleigh Henley, Will Henley, Jesse McMillon, Isabella McMillion, Easton Sorrells, Kenleigh Sorrells, Aiden Mater, Addy Mater and twelve great great grandchildren.
