Boyce Douglas
Hill
February 2, 1942 — December 29, 2025
Boyce Douglas Hill, 83, of Holly Grove, AR, passed away on December 29, 2025. Born on February 2, 1942, in Holly Grove, AR, he was the son of the late Theodore Roosevelt "Pete" Hill and Mattie Ethel Bowden Hill.
Boyce was a proud graduate of Holly Grove High School, class of 1960, where he excelled in agricultural classes, becoming a dedicated farmer (and later retiring) in the Ragtown community. His commitment to agriculture was evident in both his career and his personal passion for gardening.
Boyce put his trust in Jesus Christ in 1965 and was baptized by Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church. This faith supported him throughout his life and he especially prayed to God in his last days. He was confident of a heavenly future.
He had a wide array of hobbies that kept him active and engaged. An avid outdoorsman, Boyce enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and camping. He was also fond of resale shopping, playing card games and dominoes, watching western films, Razorback football, and taking leisurely country road trips and dancing. Collecting various items of interest brought him joy and satisfaction.
Boyce's memory will be held by his daughters, Sherry (Raymond) Ray of Bella Vista, and Lesa (Dan) Macias of Bentonville; six grandchildren, Landra Kennedy, Candra Smith, Daniel Ray, Ben Macias, Shane Macias, and Doug Macias; and nine great-grandchildren, Keileigh Macias, Jude Macias, Finley Macias, Maci Macias, Raylee Macias, Landon Kennedy, Henry Smith, Lillian Smith and Charlie Smith. He also leaves behind a special cousin, Carolyn Endsley. Boyce was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Roosevelt "Pete" Hill and Mattie Ethel Bowden Hill, his grandchild, Wesley Hill, his great grandchild, Vivian Kennedy, his first wife and mother of his children, Faye Jackson, and his second wife, Margaret Blackburn Hill. Boyce will be laid to rest next to his last love, Louise Rohrschieb.
