Billy Cliff Veazey Sr., a lifetime resident of Woodruff County, was born on September 17, 1945, in Wyville, Arkansas and the last born to Hubert Earl and Ruby Bell Veazey. The family home was located in the small farming community called the Bulltown Settlement. Billy received early education at Wyville Elementary and later graduated from Cotton Plant High School in 1963.

On February 22, 1964, he married the love of his life, Sandra Faye King, in Cotton Plant. They were blessed with two children and together built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Billy was a dedicated farmer, well-known and respected in the farming community of Cotton Plant and surrounding areas. Throughout his life, Billy was actively involved in his community. He served as a volunteer fireman, was a member of the ASCS Board for 20 years, and attained the rank of a 32-degree Mason

Billy had a passion for history, particularly Civil War books, and enjoyed exploring new places and going on adventures with Sandra. His love for learning and exploring the world knew no bounds, and he inspired those around him to embrace curiosity and knowledge.

In his leisure time, Billy found joy in spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be cherished for generations. He shared a special bond with each of his seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, finding immense happiness in their laughter and love.

Billy was raised in the Christian faith and during childhood attended the Howell-Wyville Baptist Church along with his family. He was currently a member of the First Baptist Church in Cotton Plant. On April 17, 2024, at the age of 78, Billy  passed away surrounded by his loving family.
