Billy Clovis
Terrell
October 30, 1942 — June 2, 2023
Postelle
Billy Clovis Terrell began life's journey on October 30, 1942 in the small town of Postelle, Arkansas. He was the second child born to Marvin J "Bubba" and Elwanda Turbyfill Terrell. He attended Marvell schools and graduated in the class of 1960. After graduating, he began his employment with the local John Deere dealership, Marvel Implement.
On January 17, 1964 at the age of 21, he married Geneva "Mikki" Gschwend who would be his wife until death did them part over 59 years late. Over the next four years, they had one son, William Clinton and one daughter, Melanie Ann.
He left the farming community where he grew up in East Arkansas to join his family in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1986. Shortly after moving to Little Rock, he moved his membership to Chicot Road Baptist Church where he held the position of usher until his health no longer allowed him. His passion for working on small engines aided him in obtaining employment with the Little Housing Authority. He would stay there until he retired in 2004 after being diagnosed with prostrate cancer. As long as his health allowed him, many afternoons you could find him mowing yards or out it in his barn…tinkering on something with one of his faithful canines near him.
At the age of 80, he passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023 at The Blossoms at West Dixon in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by both his parents and a brother, Charles.
His memories will be cherished by: his devoted wife, Geneva "Mikki" Terrell of Little Rock; his son, William Clinton Terrell of Raymore, Missouri; his daughter, Melanie Terrell-Redd (Steve) of Little Rock; two granddaughters, Kelli "Quin" Terrell of Emerson, Arkansas and Karli Redd of Little Rock; one grandson, Matthew Terrell (Bre) of Boliver, Missouri; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt McDonald and Layne Terrell…and many many friends.
In the days that lie ahead, may the wonderful memories of his life and friendship fill our hearts and find comfort in knowing the man known as "Bill", "Daddy", "Papaw", "Mr. Bill", "Mr. Terrell", is now resting in peace and without pain. His memory will live on in our hearts.
