Billie J. Allen, age 87, of Connell's Point, Arkansas passed away Monday, March 28, 2022 at her home.  Billie was born June 17, 1934 in Parkin, Arkansas to the late Alfred and Wildora Holloway.  She went to school in Marvell and then began her career as a seamstress, a path she would continue for most of her adult life.   Billie was a church member of Trenton Baptist Church and County Line Missionary Baptist Church spanning 55 years.

A simple woman, Billie enjoyed crocheting, gardening and keeping her grandbabies.  She loved flowers of all types.  The thing she treasured the most though was time spent with her family.

Billie is survived by two daughters, Deborah Shackelford (Tommie) of Marvell and Sharon Short (Scott) of Connell's Point; three grandchildren, Corey Shackelford (Courtney), Jonathan Short (Jennifer) and Nicholas Shackelford (Michelle); and six great-grandchildren, Landen Kelly, Jagger Hall, Jackson Short, Layla Shackelford, Charlie Kate Shackelford and Marshall Shackelford.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Wildora Holloway; brother, Charles A. Holloway; and two sisters, Dorothy Jean Cavette and Thelma Lois Fielder.

A funeral service for Billie Allen will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 1, 2022 at her home in Connell's Point, 2325 Phillips 623 Road, Marvell, Arkansas, 72366, with visitation with the family after the funeral service.  Brother Charlie Warren and Brother Jerry Goodwin will officiate.  Billie also requested that Deborah and Sharon sing and play piano at her funeral.  There will be no services at the graveside.
