Betty Lou (Cheshier) Treadwell , who loved to be called "MaMaw" by her kids, departed her loving family on January 17, 2024.

Betty was born in Beedeville, Arkansas on January 25, 1945, to Andrew Buddy and Audrey (Lawrence) Cheshier. Betty met the love of her life and married Kenneth Treadwell in 1963.   They were blessed with two sons, David and Mark.

Betty raised her children with love and devotion in Des Arc with her husband, Kenneth. She was known for her kindness to all. Betty was employed by Van Heusen Shirt Factory, West End Restaurant and Mid Delta Bus Driver for the elderly, but for most of her adult life she was a stay-at-home mom for her children and helpmate for Kenneth. Betty loved life even more when the grandchildren came along.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse Kenneth, three brothers Almond Cheshier, Kenneth Cheshier and Alvin Cheshier.

Betty is survived by her sons David Treadwell and wife Terri Beth, son Mark Treadwell, grandchildren Tyler Treadwell, Sydney Beckwith, Mackenzie Loyd, six great grandchildren, all of Des Arc and sister Evelyn Taylor (Sterling) of Tulsa, Oklahoma and many friends and relatives.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday at 2:00 at Garth Funeral Home Chapel in Des Arc, with Brother Pat Skarda, presiding.
