Barbara June Webster Mayo was born on July 25, 1945 to loving parents Bill and Betsy Webster. How she adored her Mother and Daddy! She grew up in Holly Grove, Arkansas and was the eldest child, known as "Sister" to her surviving brothers and sisters—Billy Webster, Sue Whitehorn, Jerry Webster, and Cheryl Parrish. She was a loving mother to Lezlie Mayo George and a loving grandmother to Bela and Bobby George.

She attended high school in Holly Grove and had many friends. She earned a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Education and gave the world her gift of being a teacher. As an educator, she touched and influenced many lives. Her enthusiasm and kindness helped children blossom into the adults they are today.

Her favorite time in her life was living in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She loved being a mother to Lezlie and a wife to Bob Mayo, and she created a beautiful home life for them. She devoted herself to her family and her work. She taught 3 ^rd grade at Root School and was an innovative and dynamic teacher. Her magical gift was teaching, and her students loved "Mrs. Mayo—the best teacher at Root School."

Barbara continued her career in education and was the Assistant Superintendent of the Oktibbeha County School System. She worked many years helping teachers become the best they could be.

Barbara was a thoughtful, kind, and gentle lady. She truly believed in the goodness of people and treated everyone with dignity and respect. She was the epitome of elegance and grace.

Barbara Webster Mayo passed away on February 25, 2021. Her beautiful spirit is now at peace in Heaven. She is greatly missed by those who love her. We are comforted by the beautiful memories and love she gave to us.
