Anna Lee Rigdon age 98, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, in Lexington, Oklahoma. Born on April 26, 1928, in Cotton Plant, Arkansas Anna lived a long and fulfilling life marked by dedication to her family, faith and community.
Anna was the daughter of Perry Allan and Viola Reynolds Gross. She grew up in Arkansas alongside her six siblings and cherished the bonds shared with her family.
Anna built a career as a Telephone Operator for Southwestern Bell. Her work exemplified her commitment to serving others and maintaining strong connections within her community.
Faith played a central role in Anna's life. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Brinkley for many years. Her involvement in the church reflected her deep spirituality and dedication to her beliefs. Later in life, she moved to Purcell to be closer to her family while continuing to carry her faith with her.
Anna found joy in simple pleasures that brought beauty and warmth into her life. She had a special fondness for poodle dogs and gardening. Traveling was another passion and she delighted in exploring new places and creating lasting memories along the way.
Anna is survived by her son Donald Rigdon and his wife Ruby; two grandchildren, Lisa Barton and Angie Cannizzaro; and two great-grandchildren, Ashland and Venus Barton. She was preceded by her parents; her daughter Judy Hood; grandson Kirk Hood; and her siblings Perry Allan Gross Jr., Wayne Gross, Larry Gross, Virginia Uchansky, Peggy Bradley, and Dorothy Fowler.
Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and devotion—a testament to the values she held dear throughout her remarkable 98 years. May Anna’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
