Ann Marie Evans, 87, of Memphis, TN, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on April 3, 2024. She was born Minnie Ann Hudson on January 25, 1937, in Des Arc, AR to the late James F. Hudson and Hattie Mae (Evans) Hudson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Harvey, David (Pete), Floyd, James, Jr. James Ray and sisters Lucille Hudson Tippett and Flossie Hudson Brown.
Ann is survived by her son Craig (Karen) Wylie of Collierville, TN, daughter Cindy Wylie of Memphis, TN, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Janie Hudson Rogers of Jonesboro, AR.
She was a graduate of Des Arc High School Class of 1954. Ann had a long career with the United Way, working in Flint, MI, Phoenix AZ, Memphis, TN, Springfield, MA and finally Holyoke, MA where she retired as President of the agency. She enjoyed being a literacy tutor while in Massachusetts and later while living in Memphis. She returned to Arkansas when she retired, then eventually moved to Memphis, TN to be near her grandchildren. While in Memphis, Ann loved spending time as a volunteer at Saint Francis Hospital, working in her flower beds and sewing.
She was a member of Germantown Baptist Church in Germantown, TN where she served in the ESL and flower Ministries. Ann loved her family and her Lord Jesus Christ.
