Amber Carolyn Ray Kirtley, age 32 passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 27, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Terrell Gene Ray and Ruth Ann Mealler Grigsby of Des Arc.  Born in at Forrest City, Arkansas, Amber grew up in the small town of Wheatley and received her formal education at the Palestine/Wheatley Schools. An outdoor person, she enjoyed fishing, hunting, coaching T-ball and spending time with her family and friends. She was a volunteer fireman and first responder at Oak Prairie and Northside Fire Departments before moving to Des Arc and joining the Des Arc Fire Department.

On June 1, 2013, Amber married the love of her life Bobby Kirtley at the Baptist Church in Hunter, Arkansas. For the next nine and a half years she chose to work along side her husband farming, and lastly as a mechanic for Harvey's Garage in Des Arc. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Kirtley; Mother, Ruth Ann Mealler Grigsby; Two sons, Samuel Kirtley of Cherry Valley and Hunter (RJ) Kirtley of Des Arc; Five daughters, Gladys (Josh) Simpson of Sulfur Rock, AR, Bethany & Sydney Kirtley of Cherry Valley, AR, Hadley Allen & Addison Kirtley both of Des Arc; One grandson, Kaden Simpson; One brother, Robert Grigsby, Jr. of Humphrey; Two sisters, Teri Kristin Barlow of Layton, UT and Eryn Walker of Des Arc; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and her son, Bobby Gene Kirtley, III.

The family will gather at the Garth Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 PM to visit with family and friends.

Funeral services will be 1PM Thursday afternoon at the Garth Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Eddie Addison officiating. A Firefighter Memorial will be held at the end of the services. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery at Clarendon, Arkansas.
