John Thomas Umphres  was born August 31, 2001 in Conway, AR to Raymond E. Umphres Jr. and Tawannia K. Mahana.   John passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the age of 17.

John was a member of Journey Church and a Senior at Perryville High School.

John was kind hearted and handsome. He was a person with a gentle spirit who loved God, his family and friends. He also loved hunting, fishing, tinkering with vehicles, hanging with friends and his phone.  He had a heart of gold and a smile that could light up a room any where he walked in.  John was a true servant, if anyone, it never mattered who it was needed help John was there to help, whether it was carrying in a box, moving furniture or changing a flat tire for a stranger in the rain John would be doing it.  This is the John we all knew and loved and will miss dearly.

John is preceded in death by his father: Raymond Umphres Jr.

He is survived by his grandmother: Shirley Camp of Perryville and Grandfather: Leon Hayes of Perryville: Three brothers: Gabriel Umphres of Perryville, Trey Mahana of Texas, Collin Knight of Ft. Smith; Sister: Selina Boost of Texas; Cousins: Ashley Belk, Casey Camp, Adam Camp, Donnie Camp, and Brandon Camp, Along with many other friends and relatives.

Visitation will be Friday August 30, 2019 from 6:00PM til 8:00PM at Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be 10:00AM Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Journey Church in Perryville with Bro. Danny Barker and David Finkbiner officiating.  A private burial will be held at a later date.
