In 1997, the Neal Family purchased the historical Post Office building that was built in 1936. With much hard work they restored the abandoned building and converted it into the beautiful Bob Neal & Sons-Clarendon Funeral Home. The large entrance hall features the original granite floors and fifteen foot ceilings with original plaster moldings. It has a large viewing room, chapel, family room, refreshment center, display room and four bathrooms with original fixtures.
We are located in Clarendon, the historical Monroe County seat. Situated along the White River, in the rural farming area of Central Arkansas, Clarendon is famous for the recent discovery of, the once thought to be extinct, Ivory Bill Wood Pecker.
